Once you step inside you don’t want to go out!
In our latest test-drives we had the chance to test the 2017 Maserati Quattroporte in its V6 version throughout the roads of Doha, the moment you step inside the vehicle you feel the majestic of the Italian design and how they care about all details of the vehicle.
will share with you our thoughts about the 2017YM Maserati Quattroporte in our article.
Let’s talk about it
Looking at the Quattroporte from outside you can’t miss the big Maserati grille in the front of the car which is of-course an icon to spot any Maserati on the road, the whole body comes in a unique aerodynamic shape to push the car to its limit once you put you leg on the gas pedal.
What we notice is that the Quattroporte is a really tall! When you you park the car you will feel how other cars have short body which for us was really exciting as your car will stand out from the crowd always, but you need to to keep it safe too if you can’t find a good parking spot.
Inside the Maserati Quattroporte and with the long body chassis leg room in the back is absolutely amazing! you can literary stretch your legs to its max!
The fine leather and fine details in it is noticeable in every corner of the vehicle, you just don’t want to step out of it once you get in.
Now to the real deal where we put the car under test to see how it performs with its 350HP V6 Twin-Turbo 3.0L engine, the car picks up in a very smooth and fast way, and what you love about this Italian stallion is how much you give her it gives you back more. the car ground clearance also gives you a great experience as it is very low comparing other sedan vehicles.
Taking the Quattroporte in hard corners it performed really well as you feel you are in charge of the road, and for those looking for more excitement you can change the mode of driving and make the suspensions more tough and activate the exhaust sound for ultimate sport driving experience.
In addition to the existing portfolio of the 530 hp V8 Maserati Quattroporte GTS and the 410 hp V6 Quattroporte S and S Q4, an in detail engines entry-level Euro 6, 3.0-litre Twin Turbo V6 is available, now upgraded to 350 hp thanks to a different engine mapping.
The engine was designed by Maserati and is being manufactured by Ferrari in Maranello for exclusive use of Maserati. With 350 hp at 5,500 rpm, the V6 of the Quattroporte delivers a powerful drive with a torque of 500 Nm between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. 90% of the maximum torque is already available at just 1,600 rpm.
All versions of the Quattroporte are fitted with the ZF AT8 – HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission that ensures improved comfort, faster gear shifting, optimized fuel consumption and reduced Noise,Vibration and Harshness (NVH).
Maserati has continued its long association with Brembo on the Quattroporte and most models feature fixed-caliper braking technology.
